How to Install Epson EcoTank L8050 Printer Driver

Some users have doubts regarding the installation process of the Epson printer drivers. For all such users, I have shared in this section the detailed installation guide for the full feature driver and basic driver (inf driver).

Select the installation guide, which is related to your printer driver, then follow its installation steps to properly install the Epson L8050 printer drivers on your computer.

1) Install Epson L8050 Printer Using Full Feature Driver

In this installation guide, you will learn about the installation steps of the full feature Epson L8050 driver on a Windows computer. As an example, I have described the installation process in the Windows 10 operating system, but you can follow these installation steps for all the versions of the Windows operating system.

1. Run the full feature driver file downloaded from this guide and wait for Epson installer program to launch itself on your computer.
   
2. In the License Agreement screen, click on the ‘Accept’ button to accept the Epson End User Software License Agreement.
   
3. In the Additional Agreements screen, you have the option to permit or deny Epson software to share your software and printer usage data with the Epson website. I have decided to share the data because there are some benefits of doing so. Finally, click on the ‘Next’ button. Your choice will have no impact on the final outcome of the driver installation process.
   
4. Make sure that ink tanks are filled with the inks of the genuine Epson ink bottles, then choose the ‘I have finished filling ink into the ink tanks’ option. Finally, click on the ‘Next’ button to proceed.
   
5. Wait for the installer program to download the latest version of the Epson printer drivers on your computer.
   
6. Wait for the installer program to install the Epson printer drivers on your computer.
   
7. Wait for the installer program to check the system environment.
   
8. In the Select Your Connection Method screen, choose the ‘Connect via USB cable’ option, then click on the ‘Next’ button.
   
9. When the Connect Via USB Cable screen appears, then you have the option to connect your Epson printer with your computer by using a USB cable and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the driver installation process. However, if you want to connect your Epson printer later, then choose the ‘Do not connect now’ option, then click on the ‘Next’ button.
   
10. When you see the message that setup is complete, then click on the ‘Finish’ button to close the Epson Installer program.

2) Install Epson L8050 Printer Using Basic Driver

1. Run the basic driver file downloaded from this page and click on the ‘Setup’ button.
   
2. Wait for the installer files to extract onto your computer.
   
3. In the Printer Utility Setup screen, choose the ‘Epson L8050 Series’ icon, make sure that the ‘Set as default printer’ option is selected, then click on the ‘OK’ button.
   
4. In the Select a language dialog box, select your preferred language, I have selected the ‘English’ language, then click on the ‘OK’ button.
   
5. In the License Agreement screen, choose the ‘Agree’ option to accept the Epson End User Software License Agreement, then click on the ‘OK’ button.
   
6. Wait for the setup program to install the printer driver.
   
7. Choose the ‘No: USB connection’ option, then click on the ‘OK’ button.
   
8. Connect your Epson printer with your computer by using a USB cable and make sure that the printer is powered-on, then wait for the setup program to detect your Epson printer.
   
9. Wait for the setup program to complete the driver installation process.
   
10. When you see the message that the printer driver installation and port configuration is completed successfully, then click om the ‘OK’ button to close the setup program.
