How to Install Canon Pixma MP272 Printer Driver
To install the MP272 printer driver on your computer, follow the steps given below for installation.
Full Feature Driver Installation
Step 1: Double-click on the downloaded “MP272-MP-Driver-Windows-XP-Vista-7-8-8.1-10-11-x86-x64” file. Click on yes if it is asking for it.
Step 2: Let it unzipping the driver files.
Step 3: Authorize installer to install by clicking on Next.
Step 4: Installing the drivers. So please wait.
Step 5: Now, connect your printer to the computer. Plug the printer’s USB cable into the computer and then this installer will auto-detect the printer and jump you to the next screen.
After detecting the printer, follow the further on-screen instructions to complete the remaining installation process.
Basic Driver Installation
First download the basic driver from the above given link and then unzip / extract the driver file.
Step 1: Click on the Start button and then click on Settings to open the control panel.
Step 2: After that click on “devices” to open the devices page.
Step 3: On the devices page, click on “Printers & Scanners” from the left side pane and then click on the plus icon (Add a printer or scanner). It will start searching for the connected printers.
Step 4: If it isn’t your printer, then click on the link: “The printer that I want is not listed”. This will open up a wizard that will be a basic method to install a printer with the manual settings.
Step 5: In this wizard, click on the last option “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.”
Step 6: After that, it will ask you to choose the printer port. I recommend choosing the port named “USB001” and then click on Next. Or you may choose the port where your printer is connected right now. See the example screenshot below:
Step 7: Now it is asking for the driver. Click on “Have Disk” button.
Step 8: Click on the browse button then go to the location where you have extracted the driver file and then select “MP270P3” file and then click on open. And then click on OK.
Step 9: Choose the main driver file and then click on Next.
Step 10: Click on Finish
